random

A ring of random beads I found in my bead box named baroque for some strange reason. And a cellini spiral bracelet made from three different kinds of purple. All because I am cooped up inside.

I had some orders and St Nicholas gifts to make. So this is the newest batch. Oh and please note, those bronze looking metallic beads cost a fortune, because they are gold lustered. As in... 24 carat gold.

New orders

Both my index fingers hurt like hell. But I finished the orders on time!

The Devil made me do it

My mom came home with a bunch of crystals the other day and I bought 2 more red ones because I am expected to make some pendants.

So yesterday evening and today... I made these. Dunno what came over me but somehow I just wanted to make red and black stuff.

So these are my newest ones. The threads will be clipped, obviously, after I have used some glue on them.

I call it the Ice Princess

What the title says. I don't really name my stuff because I'm as good at naming as Leonard of Quirm... ok, well, maybe a bit better, but not by much.

But somehow this just... stuck. It was a bitch to make, I was freezing while I made if because it was really cold yesterday and I wasn't allowed to eat after 6 (they took my blood today, yay) and it looks perfectly icy.

It's mine! I'm so not giving it away. ^^

Neither down nor out... just laaaazy

So... I know, I know, I haven't been posting recently. I guess I will update my stuff in a while. For now, this is a pendant I made yesterday (while taking a break from killing skeletons). It's on a thick leather chord btw.
And a ring with 11/0 seeds and 3mm magatamas. Easy and cute. I love purple, have I mentioned it?And a beaded bead that I made the day before.
And my granny's brooch.

Ooops, I forgot

This one is old... made around February, so this baby is my third bezeling work. But it looks awesome.

Bezeling is fun!

I made this one for my godmother. Actually, she's my mom's godmother, but I sorta inherited her. Long story.

And this one I made for my mom.

Yes, I will cut the threads once the superglue is dry.

Again, a new one. I only have light pastel colours of the big round bead variety, so this pendant became a pale bluish-purplish one. This will be remedied soon, I'll buy some big cherry red round beads and make something delicious looking.

Anyway. Made with the old, "boring" RAW technique and some lacing. I saw something similar on Kkriszta's blog, her doughnut had swarovski in the lacing. The lacing on mine on the other hand looks a bit lopsided for a reason. I decided that the normal, much used X pattern was boring. So... here it is. ^^

Oh and yes, the greens in the background are pickles. :)

This pattern was named Kepler's Star by Gwen Fisher. I have been playing with similar patterns, although not on this scale. So this was still a challenge. Mostly it challenged my patience.

This bracelet took me more than 7 hours to finish. It also used up 10 grams of 11/0 and 10 grams of 8/0 seed beads, which was pretty shocking. I thought 5 grams of each would be more than enough, because it was so... full of holes. Well, it wasn't. It ate beads and thread. (Note to self: next time use cheaper colours if possible.)

I used a daring shade of light Ceylon periwinkle 11/0 seed beads with metallic plum iris 8/0 seed beads and 3 pieces of 6 mm round crystal swarovski beads.

By some twist of fate I had two buttons that looked the same (although I have bought them in different shops), and thus the question of the clasp had been solved.

And today I went to the shop that sold the buttons cheaper and bought buttons (with the same designs as the metallic looking ones I showed in a previous post) in twos and threes. In case I try this pattenr again. But seriously... ouch.

And this one was pure horror to make. 8 hours of work. Requested by my mother. I'm never gonna make another with 5 different colours. It hurts my eyes and my brain.

Got tired of stamping my pictures, if anyone was wondering.

And the newest stuff:

I think I saw this pattern somewhere, but not sure. It just came to mind, and had to try it out.

This triangle pattern is oooold, but black and silver never goes out of style. I also attached a bunch of hanging beads to the bottom when the glue dried up.

...newer stuff that I was too lazy to update before

What the title said.

I actually did some macrame for kicks and took a break from beading. But after a while it just wasn't colorful enough, so I moved on.

So I decided tomake some cubes. Been making them for a while now.

Still making... :P

Then a ball I just made for... kicks.

And a simple ring, because it's cute.

Buttons

Actually, I've bought some buttons a week or two ago and thought they'd look pretty so... here they are.

(Actually, one of them was used for the crystal-raspberry toho cubed bracelet below.)

And these guys I have bought this weekend.

Girly stuff

Well, since my blog has been called "so girly", I decided why not. So here it is. Girly stuff!

It's Spring!

...or supposed to be, so I started making some pretty bracelets in spring colours, or at least spring colours for me.

Here they are:

Catching up

I realize I haven't been adding new stuff, so... here they are.

I just bezeled these babies, although the end tails of the S-Lon still need to be trimmed. Forgive me, the glue is still drying.

Then, there is the green seven sister brooch I made a few days ago.

Also, 3 spinning tops I made for some visiting family members.

Just a few rings I had been doing in the meantime. Cute and pretty, especially the red and blue ones, methinks. Also easy to make.
